1931 Ford Model A Coupe

We've got updates!
Bob's done a ton of work to the Coupe over the past few months.
Here are some of the latest shots of the latest goodies!

He's done it again!
Bob, Ryan & Kym made the trek to The Ranch in Loveland for the
9th Annual GoodGuys Rod & Custom Show~Colorado on June 4,
where Bob picked up his second Chopped & Dropped Award!

Bob & Ryan spent four days prior to the event re-assembling the Coupe
after some frame modifications.  A test drive from Denver to Loveland?
Not a bad trip, over-all. Surprisingly comfortable, given its size!

Here's the latest evidence of Bob's dementia:

"A" block, insert bearings, counterweighted crank (thanks H&H machine!)
Dual SU sidedrafts
35 ford trans
"A" rearend
Seriously hacked "A" frame; quarter elliptic rear suspension
Chopped 8", sectioned 3 1/2"
Homemade everything

Is this Ford's first GT-40 prototype?  40" tall at the roof.

Believe it or not, this car is very comfortable to drive; my 6-foot, 250 lb. buddy can fit in it comfortably.  Roof hinges up for entry/exit, although the doors are still functional (why, I'm not sure).  This car will eventually be nicely finished (as in painted, upholstered, etc)... maybe winter?  Until then it'll be driven a bunch till all the bugs are worked out.  How many hours have gone into it?  Don't ask, but it's a bunch.  Will I make it to the Roundup in Austin?  We'll see.

To Be Continued... stay tuned for updates.
